Shopping: Shoppers in Brisbane will be delighted to discover that the city is a truly great shopping experience. Downtown Brisbane houses over 2000 retailers and it is the largest shopping area between Sydney and Singapore. The vast majority of shops are located along Queen Street and in the Queen Street Mall. The Queen Street mall hosts over 1200 stores and shopping to suit all tastes. Many of Australia's young designers have stores in the mall and shopping here is quite inexpensive in comparison to the larger cities in Australia. The Myer Centre is also well worth a visit as it houses over 200 specialist boutiques. Milton's park Road is a street lined with designer boutiques but prices here are quite expensive. Chinatown is also a good place to visit whilst in Brisbane as its stores stock some wonderful unique goods. Late night shopping in Brisbane is on Friday until 9.00pm and the rest of the week the shops close at 5.30pm. On Saturday shops shut at 5.00 pm and on Sunday they close at 4.00pm.
